Wednesday 8th May Vale Brewery Tap Takeover at Wetherspoons 201 Midsummer Blvd, Milton Keynes MK9 1EA
Wetherspoons are holding a tap takeover for Vale Brewery which I've had confirmation is still going ahead. The Camra recruitment event which was planned to coincide with the takeover has been postponed, this will hopefully now take place in June instead.

Dave Hayes, Branch Chair presented Anna Clarke with her certificate as our first ever Community Champion on 7 May.
Like many publicans during the Covid crisis and lockdown, Anna of the Halleys Comet in Bradville gave her local community plenty of support and help. But she didn't stop after the crisis passed. She has continued to do plenty to help the people of Bradville and New Bradwell, with special support for the elderly and children.
What has she done?
* very cheap Christmas lunches for senior citizens
* a free kids’ breakfast club every day during school holidays
* opening the pub an hour early on Christmas morning specially for people who were spending the day alone, providing free tea, coffee, mince pies and biscuits
* turning the pub into a cinema for children every Saturday morning, to watch movies while they eat breakfast – again, all for free
* Doggie Brunch every Sunday morning
* regular fun days to raise money for local charities and good causes
* frequent support for charity collections and events.

Saturday 4th May - Monday 6th May
Last beer festival they'll be doing after 25 years! Saturday has live music featuring a Bon Jovi tribute act and soul and motown, Sunday a country and western theme and Monday is a family fun day.
It doesn't mention anything about tickets so I assume it's free entry, no guarantees though!

We have kindly been invited to attend the Moon's tap takeover, there should be some free samples of Tring beers to try on the day (Death or Glory, Colley's Dog and the new Liberator) with some complimentary food available. All ales here should be only £1.99, which for Death or Glory...try and be sensible and good luck!
