See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

A traditional village pub in Grade II-listed building, full of character with its thatched roof, low ceilings and exposed beams. In continuous use as an inn since the 18th century - while being used as a pub, it has also been a village store, a blacksmiths and a butchers shop. As you enter the front door, the bar is through the latched wooden door on the left. A separate room on the right can be hired for private parties. In the bar, there is an inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove; the pub also has an old dutch oven with a flintstone hearth. There is a large garden at the rear of the pub.
