See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
The Fox and Hounds dates from the mid-19th century, but its buildings are a century older. It has two bars, with three handpumps in the left-hand bar (on entry. This left-hand bar is quiet, while the other has regular live bands and music, sports TV and dartboard. There's a further small stone-walled room beyond the left-hand bar which now has a pool table. No food, but food vans are usually present on Friday & Saturday nights- see Facebook page. Outside is a garden with wooden tables and benches plus two Scandinavian-style part-open cabins - one with log fire - where smoking is permitted. There is also an outside bar, opened when appropriate. Car park is at rear, at end of Prospect Road.
